After deciding to expand my horizons to include more design-oriented work, I thought direction was logo and dingbat work, as they both have attributes that I can gear my illustrative styling and approach towards. ROBATO itself is based on a painting that was accomplished months earlier, when I had no intent of taking a crack at more graphic and iconic styles.
